Our Story
About Us
Dan and Heidi Brown opened Grey Dawn Gallery in 1991, and moved it to their hometown of Vernonia, Oregon in 2000 — into a building they designed and built themselves at 879 Bridge Street.
The front of the building is the gallery. The back is Dan's workshop, where he designs and crafts locally celebrated custom kitchens and fine furniture. Dan and Heidi also do custom framing for all the art they carry. The building is also home to their artisan coffee roaster — and a coffee shop is coming soon.
Their two children are fourth-generation Vernonians. Dan and Heidi have served this community in countless ways over the years and live right next door to the gallery — their door is always open.
Roasted On-Site
Our Coffee
Dan and Heidi roast their own coffee right on-site — small batches, single origins, the real thing. When you come to see the art, stay for a cup. Fresh roasts are available regularly — reach out to check current stock and pricing.
